JAMB Issues Fresh Directive to 2024 Direct Entry Candidates

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released an important notice for all 2024 Direct Entry (DE) applicants—especially those who registered with awaiting results from IJMB or JUPEB.

According to a statement signed by JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, candidates must upload their results immediately after they are released. Failure to comply means automatic disqualification from the 2024 admission process.

“No candidate will be considered for admission with awaiting results,” the board emphasized, aligning the policy with what already applies to UTME candidates.

What This Means for You:

  • If you registered for DE with IJMB or JUPEB awaiting results, upload them as soon as they are available.
  • Applications still marked as ‘Awaiting Result’ (AR) after results have been released will be disqualified.
  • Candidates who fail to upload will be considered as having no result at all.
  • Your credentials must be verified to determine your eligibility for admission.

Looking Ahead: 2025 Direct Entry Applicants Take Note

If you’re planning to apply for 2025 Direct Entry, JAMB urges you to be proactive:

  • Upload your results promptly once they’re out.
  • This will help avoid delays or disqualification and increase your chances of getting admitted.
